Independent means something concrete here: we have no outside investors. No one is pushing us to sell you more than you need, and we can turn down work when we believe someone else is better placed to do it.
Value-driven means we choose what we work on. Most of our work is for public organisations: municipalities, ministries, public bodies and institutions. Their technology affects people who did not choose to use it. That changes what a good solution looks like.
And lab, because we do more than apply what already exists. We train models, build the infrastructure beneath them and publish what we learn. What comes out of that work should not belong to us alone.
